WIRES

WIRES was founded in 1985 and is Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of sick, injured, and orphaned native animals across the country.

WIRES’ mission is to rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. WIRES operates a 24 x 7 Wildlife Rescue Office providing nationwide advice and assistance, along with full-time mobile responders across Greater Sydney, South-East Queensland and Tasmania. WIRES also supports hundreds of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation projects across Australia and works with strategic partners to protect habitats and ensure the long-term survival of native species.

Their work includes:

Wildlife Information: Providing guidance on how to coexist safely and responsibly with native wildlife
Rescue: Assisting animals in distress—whether injured, displaced, or in danger and supporting animals to recover and return to their natural habitats
Education: Helping people understand how everyday actions can protect wildlife and local ecosystems.
Service: Ensuring animals in need are never without help with 24/7 emergency response for wildlife in need

Edgar’s Mission

Edgar’s Mission is a sanctuary for rescued farm animals with a vision for a humane and just world for all.

“Through education, outreach, advocacy, community enrichment and tours, we encourage people to expand their circle of compassion to include all animals.

“If we could live happy and healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn’t we?”

PAWSITIVELY CLEAN’S founder, Steven Teh makes personal contributions. Over the years, and to date, he has contributed variously to RSPCA, PETA, WIRES and local shelters.
